DeSimone’s San Francisco office serves as our base of operations for the west coast and Pacific region. Located in the high seismic area of northern California, our team operates on the cutting edge of structural and earthquake engineering technology for the design of safe, sustainable, and innovative buildings.
We have designed many iconic, high-rise buildings in San Francisco and in other high seismic regions in the world, and are well-versed in seismic analysis and design— including three-dimensional dynamic response spectra analysis, non-linear inelastic time history analysis, performance-based design, seismic base isolation techniques, among others.
Our highly skilled staff leverages astute local knowledge and proximity while collaborating with our staff globally, including structural engineers, façade and building envelope experts, vertical transportation, detailers, tilt-up experts, and more.
Our San Francisco team’s recent projects on the west coast and beyond include the double-deck elevators at the iconic Space Needle in Seattle, the LinkedIn HQ in San Francisco, the Miami-Dade County Civil and Probate Courthouse, and the Broward County Convention Center Expansion and Omni Hotel Fort Lauderdale.
