One Greengate
One Greengate kickstarted several large-scale regeneration projects in the historic Greengate area of Salford, close to Manchester City Centre.
A collection of four buildings—ranging in height from 10 to 31 stories—arranged around a courtyard along the River Irwell, One Greengate consists of 500 apartments and three levels of basement parking for 220 vehicles.

Our team designed composite structures to create a strong and stable frames for these buildings, and influenced the sequencing of construction to mitigate flood risk given their proximity to the river.
Guided by the council’s refreshed regeneration strategy (2018), Greengate sits in the heart of central Salford and has an ambitious 2040 vision to become a distinctive example of placemaking where people connect, create and thrive.
