568 Meserole Street

A two-story industrial warehouse in East Williamsburg, 568 Meserole Street offers ample space for storage and logistics.

DeSimone provided structural design services for the new facility, which includes 50-by-50-foot, column-free storage bays; seven grade-level loading docks; and a mezzanine level.

To support the heavy live loads required for warehousing operations, we engineered a structural steel frame with floors of concrete on metal deck. To resist potential uplift and twisting forces associated with industrial use and subsurface conditions, the foundation system is anchored with tapered tube friction piles driven to a depth of 100 feet below grade. Precast concrete wall panels with integrated window openings enclose the space efficiently and cost-effectively.

The facility’s proximity to the LIRR freight line required coordination with the New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA), adding a regulatory layer to both design and construction.

The project was built on a remediated brownfield site, restoring industrial utility to a previously underused parcel and reinforcing the area's long-standing role in urban logistics.
