Roni Shnall

A licensed rebar and concrete special inspector, Roni Shnall dispatches teams of field inspectors to perform special inspections and resolve real-time engineering challenges, supporting DeSimone’s reputation for exceptional onsite attention to detail and client service.

As our Director of Field Operations, he’s responsible for ensuring, as an unbiased third party, that concrete foundations, walls, and structures are built according to engineering construction documents in compliance with building codes.

Frequently operating alongside his teams on site, Roni serves as field engineer, evaluating and verifying field conditions, identifying and documenting issues, and assisting design teams with remedial correction strategies. He works collaboratively with structural engineers and building owners to devise and implement code-compliant solutions that ensure the integrity of concrete structures during construction.

Roni has brought his expertise to bear on such complex projects as The Greenwich, a slender, 912-foot-tall condominium tower in lower Manhattan, 99 Hudson, a  high-end, 79-story, Jersey City waterfront residential tower—the tallest in New Jersey—featuring a concrete structure designed to mitigate building sway without tuned mass dampers or liquid dampers, and 220 Central Park South, rising 950 feet and 69 stories as an ultra-luxury, neotraditional, cast-in-place concrete skyscraper near Manhattan's Columbus Circle.

Current projects include 50 Hudson Street in Jersey City, and 70 Hudson Yards, a post-tensioned high-rise concrete building in New York City.
