Resorts World NYC Phase II Expansion Breaks Ground

DeSimone was on hand to celebrate the official groundbreaking for the $5.5 billion Phase 2 expansion of the Resorts World New York City (RWNYC) integrated resort complex in Queens.

Joining Genting Group and Resorts World leadership, Perkins Eastman, Suffolk Construction, local officials, and key project team members onsite were DeSimone Managing Principal Ben Downing, PE, and Associate Mark McKay, PE, who lead our structural design team.

DeSimone will be providing full structural design services for the Phase 2 expansion, which aims to realize Resorts World NYC and developer Genting Group’s vision for a fully integrated resort casino, combining gaming, hospitality, entertainment, dining, convention center, multiple event spaces, and a multi-use arena. 

We couldn’t be more pleased to be a part of the incredibly talented team that will design and construct this spectacular project.
