The leader of our global façade and building envelope practice, Rok Lee provides invaluable insight to DeSimone’s structural engineering and forensic consulting teams across project types.
Rok employs a broad range of expertise to meet the needs of our clients across sectors, including new façade design, re-cladding and over-cladding, existing façade assessment, and building physics, as well as thermal and condensation assessment, custom curtain wall system design and engineering, expert witness services, and forensic investigation.
His recent projects include the aluminum-and-terra cotta façade featuring distinctive arched windows at 520 Fifth Avenue in New York City, a supertall in Manhattan nearing completion, the new addition to the Dallas Museum of Art, and 70 Hudson Yards, the newest commercial tower in New York City’s Hudson Yards district.
Previous projects include the acclaimed MSC Miami Cruise Terminal in Florida, the award-winning 420 Carroll Street residential tower along Brooklyn’s Gowanus Canal in New York, Frank Gehry’s Beekman Tower, and the New York Times tower, designed by Renzo Piano.
