Michael Schwarz

Michael Schwarz specializes in the design of reinforced concrete buildings, wind and seismic engineering, and the development of efficient lateral systems.

An Associate Principal with over 25 years of experience, he manages a broad range of projects, collaborating with teams of structural engineers based in DeSimone’s New Haven, Connecticut, office.

Currently, Michael serves as project manager for Urby Jersey City, two 70-story residential towers connected by a nine-story podium, Two Kings Casino in Kings Mountain, North Carolina, the glass, L-shaped Newark Waterfront Tower in New Jersey, and 2811 Kirby Drive, a 1 M SF mixed-use tower in Houston, Texas.

Previous projects include the 800-foot-tall Four Seasons Hotel & Tower Miami, the twisting, 60-story Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel & Residences Emirates Pearl in Abu Dhabi, and the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center, one of the largest public-private partnerships in New Jersey.
