Mark Remmetter

Mark Remmetter specializes in the structural design and construction of precast concrete and tilt-up buildings—expertise garnered during his over three decades of experience at the helm of MER Engineers, which merged with DeSimone in 2024.

As a principal, he leads our team in Dayton, Ohio, and supports the company’s projects globally.

Over the course of his career, Mark has led the design of more than 800 tilt-up and conventionally framed buildings, encompassing over 60,000,000 SF across North America. His portfolio includes a diverse range of project types, including retail, distribution, manufacturing, parking garages, and warehousing.

Earlier in his career, Mark led the design of the first four- and five-story tilt-up office buildings in hurricane-prone South Florida, including the Cornerstone II Office Building in Plantation. He also led the tilt-up design for the National Archive and Records Administration (NARA) – National Personnel Records Center in St. Louis, Missouri, a facility engineered to preserve critical personnel records even in the event of significant seismic events. The Center meets stringent progressive collapse and blast resistance standards as required by the US Department of Defense.

Most recently, he has provided the design for many single and multistory tilt-up datacenters located around the United States.
