Mark Plechaty

Mark Plechaty is a primary structural engineer and project manager whose ability to develop innovative schemes and details has proved critical to the success of over 100 challenging and complex projects—as has his commitment to building effective, trusted relationships with each client and project team. 

His recent projects include Gotham Point, a 58-story tower in New York City that employs a concrete supercore, resulting in a highly efficient structure, and the conversion of the iconic One Times Square, home of the New York City New Year’s Eve ball drop, into a tourist hub with a 55-foot cantilevered observation deck.

Previous projects include One Wall Street, one of the largest office-to-residential conversions in New York City, The Standard Hotel, a 24-story structure supported by twin 110-foot-long steel trusses spanning over the New York City High Line, and the award-winning Olympia Dumbo, a curved step residential structure in Brooklyn, New York.
