Working across DeSimone’s Miami and New York offices, Luis Ramirez has amassed a diverse portfolio of projects including high-rise structures, office towers, mixed-use developments, gaming and resort properties, and healthcare facilities.
Currently, Luis is leading the structural design for the 650-foot-tall, super-slender Villa Miami, a luxury waterfront condominium tower in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino at Metropolitan Park in New York City, which includes a 5 M SF hotel and casino and a 4,500 seat arena, 1001/1111 Brickell Bay Drive, a 2.5 M SF mixed-use development in Miami featuring 1,049-foot-tall and 900-foot-tall towers; and the new Miami-Dade County Civil and Probate Courthouse, the tallest governmental use tower in Miami.
Previous projects include the award-winning Eagle + West, two mirrored, ziggurat towers along the East River in Brooklyn’s Greenpoint Landing neighborhood, the expansion of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood Resort & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, featuring the world’s first guitar-shaped hotel, and Lofty & The Standard Residences, collectively known as One Brickell Riverfront.
