Kelly Houlihan
Known for his ability to manage large-scale projects requiring careful attention to technical specifications and operational needs, Kelly Houlihan leads our Vertical Transportation practice as a principal in our San Francisco office.
His team provides expert consulting services in elevator modernization, new equipment installation, expert witness testimony, due diligence, and maintenance audits.
Kelly has been active in the elevator industry since 1988, serving in many roles and gaining a wide range of experience, including contributing to the development of San Francisco's accessibility code (AB-090). The code was later adopted into the California state code, with his expertise playing a key role in shaping its creation.
Most recently, Kelly contributed to Seattle’s Space Needle elevator modernization project, coordinating the design and installation of three double-deck elevators for increased capacity and efficiency. Other current projects include the elevator modernization of 170 Maiden Lane and 345 California, both in San Francisco, and the project reconfiguration of Costa del Este Business Park in Provincia De Panama, Panama.
