Karl Micallef
A highly decorated structural engineer, Dr. Karl Micallef leverages his advanced technological expertise to deliver the structural design of high-rise, mixed-use, and mission-critical developments across the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East.
Based in our London office, he serves as a structural design leader through all project phases for some of the firm’s most complex and performance-driven structures.
Karl’s expertise includes reinforced concrete, steel, and composite systems, with a special focus on performance-based design, structural resilience, and dynamic response. His research background in blast and seismic engineering informs a rigorous, analytical approach to tall building design and structural systems under extreme loading conditions.
Current projects include the new Oracle development in Nashville, Tennessee, a 70-acre campus that will be the software giant’s North American presence and world headquarters, and a large, confidential development in the Middle East.
