Jonathan Calton
Skilled in modeling, automation, seismic, and performance-based design, Jonathan Calton leads teams of structural engineers in DeSimone’s Dallas office as Senior Associate.
He has brought his structural engineering experience to collaborating with developers, architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver effective solutions from concept through construction. A skilled mentor and relationship‑builder, Jonathan is known for guiding teams and driving successful project outcomes.
He has served as engineer-of-record on a wide variety of complex structures and has designed over 130 projects throughout the United States, Europe, and the Caribbean across key sectors, including residential, infrastructure, civic and cultural, heavy industrial, mission critical, and aviation and transportation.
Prior to joining DeSimone, notable past projects include the performance-based seismic design of an irregular structural form and vertical village in Saudi Arabia, an automotive manufacturing facility in Austin, Texas, a microelectronics fabrication facility in Europe, and multiple healthcare facilities in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
