Jarret Johnson
Jarret Johnson leads DeSimone’s life science practice, running ground-up and retrofit projects throughout the northeast United States.
A strong advocate for sustainable design, Jarret has played a central role in launching and advancing our firmwide sustainability initiatives. He was instrumental in committing the firm to the SE2050 Embodied Carbon Challenge and now leads efforts to integrate low-carbon strategies across project teams.
Jarret’s current projects include Helix H1, a 510,000 SF structure housing Rutgers Medical School as well as labs and offices, a three-building, mixed-use development on Russell Street in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and the MGM Empire City Casino expansion in Yonkers, New York.
Previously, Jarret contributed to the Winthrop Center in Boston, the world’s largest commercial Passive House, MGM Springfield, a five-story hotel and casino in Massachusetts that incorporates four historic landmarked buildings, and the Statue of Liberty Museum in New York City.
