Asim Khan

An accomplished Associate based in our NYC headquarters, Asim Khan has been a key DeSimone team member since 2013. His expertise spans a wide range of structural materials, including steel, timber, concrete, and specialized systems such as voided concrete slabs.

Asim’s portfolio includes both new construction and renovation of existing buildings. His ability to tackle some of the most complex structural design challenges in New York City has earned him recognition as a 2024 Top Young Professional engineer by the Commercial Observer.

Over the years, Asim has played a pivotal role in numerous high-profile projects across the firm’s most active sectors. Currently, he serves as project manager for the new Banco Santander Tower in Miami, which features a complex concrete diagrid structure, and the Bruce Springsteen Archives and Center for Music on Monmouth University’s campus, a mass timber museum dedicated to Springsteen and his influence on American music.

Other recent projects include the reimagining of the iconic One Times Square, home of the New Years Eve ball drop, which includes a new, cantilevered observation platform, the renovation of One Wall Street, the largest office-to-residential conversion in New York City history, and Olympia Dumbo, an award-winning curved step structure in Brooklyn.
