Ahmed M. Osman

Ahmed’s career with DeSimone began in 2004 and has brought him to several major cities across the world, managing our office in Abu Dhabi from 2011 to 2020 and establishing our Dubai office in 2016.

Today, as Principal in DeSimone’s Miami office, he leads a large team as design principal and project manager for major developments Miami and the UAE. His projects have received over two dozen industry awards.

Ahmed specializes in structural design for large mixed-use complexes, high-rise buildings, and sports facilities, including new construction, design/build, rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and long-span framing. Recent projects include the award-winning MSC Cruises Terminal at Port Miami, the largest cruise terminal in the world, as well as the Shore Club, a hotel tower in Miami Beach’s Historic District, and 700 North Miami Ave, a three-tower complex at Miami Worldcenter with Witkoff and Flag Luxury.

Past projects include Wasl Tower, a 1,000-foot-high skyscraper in Dubai,  and the  national and NY ACEC award winning HL 23, a residential building that cantilevers over the New York High Line, as well as the Regent Emirates Pearl Hotel, a 55-story twisting tower that earned Ahmed an ACI Award in 2016.

Ahmed has authored articles published in Concrete International, STRUCTURE magazine, Construction Week, and Middle East Consultant.
