Adam Scates

A structural engineer with nearly 20 years of experience, Adam Scates leads structural design teams based in our New Haven, Connecticut office.

Adam's expertise is in the design of new structures, renovation of existing ones, and working with materials such as reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood.

His current projects include the 220,000 SF Desert Diamond Casino near the White Tank Mountains in Waddell, Arizona, which features a 16,000 SF Porte Cochere with an innovative floating V shaped roof, the Mozaic Concierge Living senior residential facility in Stamford, Connecticut, and a new terminal at New Haven Airport.

Previous projects include Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut, a multi-billion-dollar casino project, Resorts World Casino New York, the first such project to be constructed in New York City, and the CitizenM Bowery Hotel in New York City, built with 15 floors of modular steel construction.
