DeSimone Partners with Seattle University on Senior Capstone Project in Applied Technology
DeSimone continues its collaboration with Seattle University through the school’s senior Capstone program, which pairs students with industry partners to solve real-world engineering problems.
As part of the 2025 program, DeSimone’s Applied Technology and Research Group—led by Jeff Dragovich (’88)—sponsored a project focused on developing the Distributed Compute Control (D2C2) system. The software manages job submissions across cloud and on-premise high-performance computing (HPC) platforms and supports advanced finite element analysis used in structural design.
This is the third consecutive year that DeSimone has partnered with Seattle U on a Capstone project. The collaboration provides valuable experience for students while advancing DeSimone’s internal research and innovation in computational engineering.
